7-Day Evaluation Programme
ExPERITUS (Pty) Ltd may provide selected products to customers for evaluation purposes for a period of 7 calendar days, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Evaluation period
The 7-day evaluation period starts on the date the equipment is delivered to and accepted by the customer. Any extension must be agreed to by ExPERITUS in writing before the end of the evaluation period.
Shipping and collection
Standard courier delivery to the customer and return collection are for the account of ExPERITUS, provided the collection is arranged through ExPERITUS. Additional or special delivery requirements may be charged separately.
Risk and responsibility
Risk in the evaluation equipment passes to the customer upon delivery and acceptance by the customer, its employee, representative or nominated receiving point. The customer remains responsible for the equipment until it has been collected by ExPERITUS or its nominated courier and the collection has been acknowledged.
Loss, theft or damage
The customer is responsible for any loss, theft or damage to the evaluation equipment while it is under their control. Normal wear resulting from reasonable evaluation use is excluded. Equipment lost, stolen or damaged beyond reasonable repair may be invoiced at the current replacement value.
Use of equipment
Evaluation units may only be used for their intended purpose and in accordance with the supplied operating instructions, certification, hazardous-area classification and product limitations. The equipment may not be modified, dismantled, repaired or altered without prior written approval from ExPERITUS.
Condition and accessories
All equipment, chargers, batteries, mounting accessories, cables and other items supplied as part of the evaluation kit must be returned in substantially the same condition in which they were supplied, excluding reasonable wear.
Return of equipment
ExPERITUS will arrange collection at the end of the agreed evaluation period. The customer must make the equipment available for collection, suitably packaged, at the agreed location. Failure to make the equipment available within a reasonable period after the evaluation expiry may result in the equipment being invoiced to the customer.
No obligation to purchase
Participation in the evaluation programme does not create an obligation to purchase the equipment. Any subsequent purchase will be subject to a separate quotation and ExPERITUS's normal commercial terms.
Ownership
All evaluation equipment remains the sole property of ExPERITUS (Pty) Ltd throughout the evaluation period.
Acceptance
Acceptance of delivery of the evaluation equipment constitutes acceptance of these Evaluation Unit Terms & Conditions.
